Sustainable Initiatives in Maritime Sector

The International Conference on Sustainable Initiatives in the Maritime Sector (SIM) is a biennial international forum, alternating between Portugal and Norway. It brings together researchers, professionals, industry, public institutions and students to exchange knowledge, present research and strengthen cooperation around the maritime sector’s main sustainability challenges. The conferences connect science and practice across ocean conservation, sustainable shipping, maritime logistics and supply chains, safety and autonomous navigation, education and ocean literacy, digital transformation and robotics, green ports and vessels, decarbonization and energy innovation.
